Results are in for the 2024-25 School Budget Vote

On May 21, Massena Central School District voters approved the district’s $72.3 million 2024-25 budget, re-elected two board of education members, a student ex officio member, and approved the capital reserve fund for vehicles.

Voters chose to reject the public library proposition, by a vote of 502 to 961. 

District-related propositions

  • A $72,298,457 budget for the 2024-25 school year that increases spending 3.5% ($2,465,935) and carries a tax levy increase of 0%: 916 yes; 518 no
  • Capital Reserve Fund for Vehicles: 939 yes; 487 no
  • Student Ex Officio Member: 1,093 yes, 340 no
  • Henry H. Warren Memorial Library as a School District Public Library: 502 yes; 961 no

Board of Education election

Five candidates sought election to two open board of education seats.

The two terms will last five years, beginning July 1, 2024, and expiring June 30, 2029:
