Drama Club Talent Show - Date Change
All acts must be no longer than four minutes and be pre-approved by Mr. Lincoln and Ms. Gushea prior to being entered. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place, $100, $50, and $25 respectively. So, if you think you've got talent - register now, but if you just want to cheer on your friends, come and watch! Spectator tickets will be $5 at the door. Registration forms should be turned in no later than Monday February 22, 2010. Making High School Count A special program for high school seniors called, Making College & Career Count, will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010. The program will provide students with critical information on how to successfully navigate the transition from high school to the college or career of their choice. The program will also show students how to prepare for a successful job interview, manage their time and maximize their academic performance. In addition, there will be a separate program for high school juniors called, Making Your College Search Count. This program will provides juniors with crucial information on how to conduct an effective college search. The program covers every aspect of the college search from visiting schools to the application process. It provides students with a working plan that makes the process of choosing a college more manageable. The assembly for juniors will meet from 8:30 to 9:15 AM in the auditorium, and the senior presentation is from 12:48-1:30 PM. Contact your guidance counselor with questions. Attention Juniors The St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES will offer the Spring 2010 SAT Workshop for interested high-school juniors who plan to take the SAT in May or June. Classes will be held at the St. Lawrence Valley Educational Services Center, 30 Court Street, Canton, on eight Sundays starting February 21st. Workshop classes will be three hours long to simulate an actual SAT test-taking experience, although the SAT takes 3 hours and 45 minutes!
